Forget you not

by Ellys Parker   Jun 2, 2007

A small flower blooms in my mind
It's quite pretty if I do so say.
It's petals are of silver memories and it's stem of golden love,
The most lovely if you may.

The leaves are a teal of laughter,
That lingers in the air.
For now and ever and after,
Nothing known can quite compare.
The rest is covered in droplets of dew
Formed from the sweetest dreams,
Their the ones I've had for you.
The ones I know love truly means.

Many wish to name this flower,
many too have tried.
But if I said I liked their ideas,
Then I'm afraid I must have lied.
Because this flower already has a name
one that can not be sold or bought.
It reminds me of the times with you I've got
That's why I've named it
My one true....Forget you not.

Yes I know there already is,
a plant of similar name.
But this one comes from the heart,
thus puts the other to shame.
It reminds me of that little laugh you have,
Every time you should smile.
I like to think of that a lot
Every once in awhile.

So know that I will remember you,
No your memory shall not rot.
I will always love you, forever and always,
My little, Forget you not.
