Miss and Want

by Richard S   Jun 5, 2007

I miss your incongruities,
I miss them quite a lot.
I miss your incredulity,
More than I had thought.

Your gentle poke of fun at me,
The thought, it makes me grin.
The actions that do tell you're free,
You live life without sin.

I want to stay with you always,
And feel you in my arms.
I want for you the best these days,
I want abundant charms.

But need you, I do ask myself,
And all that it would mean.
But needs should be upon a shelf,
I find that they're obscene.

Want and miss are purer things,
Need only makes you.... needy.
Needs are things bound tight with strings,
A longing spirit.....greedy.

The miss that I do have for you,
Leads ever so to want.
Let this be our binding glue,
Needs can only taunt.

When miss and want are used to guide,
And need is not invoked,
Our purity of love inside,
Never questioned, nor revoked.
