Here's to Friendship

by dandy   Jun 6, 2007

The sun sets on today
but tomorrow's just begun.
We've fought nobly so far,
and are lucky to have won.

In times of joy we've smiled
and in sad times we've cried.
In hard times of uncertainty
we've learned that life can lie.

But through it all we've grown
into young women and men.
Not only because of our own will
but because of gifts called friends.

Some people come and go in life
but others stick around.
You all are friends just like this type
I'm so lucky to have found.

Remember to always smile,
don't go long without a laugh.
But always remember, when life gets tough,
friends are there to help you on the path.

I'm not rich in money,
I'd buy you the world if I could.
But all I can give are these words,
so I'll try and make them good.

Thank you for the many laughs,
the hugs, comfort, advice.
For all the things you've given me
this poem can't suffice.

So here's to friendship, keep it close
especially when things are tough.
When it comes to friends like all of you,
keeping in touch forever just isn't long enough.

To all of my friends who've made these passed 4 years bearable, I couldn't have gotten through it without you guys. Good luck and keep on smiling, class of 2007!
