Once upon a time love

I once loved
so hard I could not breathe
I saw what could be
what will be
and my heart shattering
in a million little pieces
I love you so
much it slowly killed
my whole being
I had to end are relationship
before I lost it
friends that should have been more
I cry myself to sleep
so many nights over you
now I can love no more
