A Simple Talk

by Russ Cosper   Jun 7, 2007

Suddenly from no where,
You comes around.
Its so unfair,
how my smile instantly turns into a frown.

You left me standing here,
and I'll always live with doubt.
The only thing i had to fear,
was you, living without.

I gave you my soul,
every inch every ounce.
It was you with who i just wanted to grow old,
No ones love could ever amount.

I still believe it was fate,
Its you who i should be with.
Because its you that i cant ever hate.
Denying you would only be my greatest myth.

I love you i do
after all you've done to me.
The only thing that i know is true,
is that being with you is the only thing that can set me free

So I'll go watch the door,
Hoping to upon it you walk.
Pick my heart up from the floor,
and start all over with just a simple talk.

For Amanda.

This poem is dedicated to m yex fiance of 5 years, i came up with it quick after jus ta simple hey message from her. she got hooked on drugs, and cheated and left... i know shes my soul mate. I just pray one day she comes home. Some can call me a fool, but remember, love is forgiving.

I'd Appreciate ratings and comments.
