Everything you cant see

by Maria   Jun 9, 2007

Everyone keeps saying,
What do you see in him,
it's everything about him,
that puts me on the edge,
hoping he will catch me if I slip.

He is the one,
I long to speak to,
everyday,
of every night.

He has a heart,
pure of silver,
not gold,
silver,
because a heart,
such as his,
is not worthy to have stolen,
for something that would be so mighty,
instead,
they would steal something,
so worthless.

People tell me,
I shouldn't bare this pain,
I bare,
"He doesn't even love you,
what are you thinking?"
But I look at them and just laugh,
because he might not love me,
but at least he knows me.

I am tired of running,
running to fast for my heart to catch up,
I'm tired,
to where my eyes are closing by themselves,
I would go to sleep,
but think of all the moments we would miss.

There is something about the way you talk to me,
that keeps me on the edge of my chair,
talking and talking,
even though all I want is peace and quiet,
knowing that you are listening to every word I say,
and every breath I take.

Everyone keeps saying,
What do you see in him,
I tell them,
its everything,
they cant see.
