Jesus my very best friend
This very same Jesus in the end
Led me to HIs wonderful light
He did not let me lose my sight
For Jesus is the only true friend

Why do I run away at times
Just like all the other strays
For He gave his life for mine
I cannot repray my wicked ways
I am the evil of these crimes

Jesus my very best friend
always there till the end
Has made this heart do bright
I can always win the fight
with Jesus at my side
