True love

I had a true love, her name was Ngaire
Beautiful shiny red hair, and so very fiery.
Walking hand in hand with each other,
We didn't have to prove our love for one another.
My true love had a heart of gold,
And the only one i wanted to hold.
Until one September day in 1983,
My true love was taken from me,
a day that was so very sad,
and a day that made me mad.
Twenty four years since passing on,
I still can't believe she's really gone,
she was my one only true love,
Her spirit lives on in a beautiful white dove.
