Faded

by sarah   Jun 11, 2007

Time stood still when we were once unchangeable
You said our fates were intertwined, our hopes and wishes unfadable
But we were just two kids in love , a handful of catastrophes about to miss up
I told you it wouldn't last, I told you intertwined meant always racing, but never attaching, always falling right behind.
So spare me a moment to understand why I knew it couldn't work. Although I tried to understand, and believe your every word.
You were once my best friend, the speed dial I pressed, but when I took a minute to understand, all I had was regret.
Regret for the time wasted on someone who showingly loved someone else, and regret for the moments and hours wishing that she would find someone herself.
That's when i knew that you weren't the one, fading away was all the great fun, and all the long nights you talked me to sleep. Faded away is the memories.
