Somnium

by Jacob M Parnell   Jun 12, 2007

She has captivated my soul,
Rendering it hard to speak,
Harder to breathe,
And even harder to think.

Her beauty is insurmountable,
It's consuming my brain.
She's worse than a drug,
She's more addicting than cocaine.

Although filled with inspiration,
I'm finding it hard to write,
Hard to say goodbye,
But even harder to say goodnight.

Her smile could stop time,
It's elegance is unique.
She's making me vulnerable,
She's making me weak.

I'm content with the situation,
Yet I find it hard to be sweet,
Harder to be mean,
And a lot harder to retreat.

I'm hers to manipulate,
It's apparent she has me thru and thru.
She's the one who possess my heart,
She's the one, it may be true.

I'm afraid of this future,
It may be hard to think of,
So much harder to ignore.
Yet so easy to fall in love...
