A prison

by xxSilentlyScreamingxx   Jun 12, 2007

My head is a prison.
Designed to not only keep me in,
But to keep the world out.
To protect them from me,
But also me from them.
If I wasn't in this prison, this cage,
God only knows what would happen.
The madness inside me would escape,
Wreak it's havoc on the world, on you.
They would get in, reaching for me so greedily,
Tendrils creeping in, smothering me.
You would be the first, as you always are
In everything.
Yes, it's better for everyone if I'm in here,
protected by these bars, these barriers.
Protected especially from you.
You and me together makes a potent mixture,
Should never be put together if you want to live.
Take heed and keep us apart forever,
Keep me in here.
I don't want to destroy you.
I love you.

*this poem was a bit random, wasnt supposed to turn out like that...went in a completely different direction. Not sure its very good, but oh well.*
