What happened to society
we pretend we're someone we're not
but we're just imperfect humans
we only know what we are taught

what happened to humanity
why is the world so cold
but we're just imperfect humans
we only do what we are told

what happened to the peace
in a world filled with war
but we're just imperfect humans
and we don't care anymore

what happened to the friendship
we judge before we know
but we're just imperfect humans
who care more about their ego

what happened to the sunshine
in this world filled with rain
but we're just imperfect humans
and we fill every day with pain

what happened to honesty
everyone's mouth is full of lies
but we're just imperfect humans
and the truth is, no one tries

what happened to the blue skies
they are all filled with pollution
but we're just imperfect humans
why don't try to find a solution

what happened to the good times,
when we just laughed and played,
but we're just imperfect humans,
who when we love get played

what happened to America,
land of the free and brave,
but we're just imperfect humans,
so we put flowers on the grave
