Her Secret Lover

by miranda miller   Jun 16, 2007

Love cuts like razor blades
Now, baby, close the shades
The trees are growing upon the path
Grab a pencil and do the math

You + me = Eternity?

Oh, how i wish it so
But right now you have to go
I see him there by the door
Oh, how i wanted more

One more kiss, knocks me off my feet
"I promise tonight that we can meet."
You head to the window, to jump down
Feet first, you hit the ground

He's through the door down the hall
Then i heard his careless fall
I hear your sweet sound
I look out the window, as you turn around

You hand me the heart shaped locket
That had been sitting in your pocket
The next minute was a waste
As you gave me a drunkly kiss to taste

Again, you jump from the window, down
You turn to run, your face a frown
He's through the small door
Stumbling across the wooden floor

He grabs me with hands, no sound
Upon the bed, i tumble down
1...2...3...buttons gone
I swear i heard something on the lawn

He had busted his secret cover
It was her secret lover
He had heard her tortured call
Picked him up,through him at the wall

He held her hand tight
As they walked out of sight
They came back, the trailer was burned
Then they never returned
