I'm the guy... without a life, but still....

I've made mistakes..they all hurt

I'm the guy who doesn't trust himself,
When it comes to loving you -- and proving that I mean it.

I'm the guy who wants to be there for you..even though I'm not
I'm the guy who can't look once, but has to look twice.
I'm the guy with the ear adjusted to your voice and can't stop listening.

And yet......

I'm the guy who no longer knows what you think
I'm the guy who can't live with himself for not being there
I'm the guy who calls just to hear your voice and the next time I go without talking to you...
I'm the guy who remembers your voice from when I last called you and hates himself more.

I'm the one who sees in your eyes that you cared.
I'm the one who can't see if you still do.

I'm the guy who can see the smile you bear isn't whole
I'm the guy who sees the sorrow behind the mask you wear,
The mask that no one sees, only believes.

I'm the guy who can only remember from the past, be it yesterday, today, or two years ago.
Memories are all I have.

I'm the guy who has all the pieces to the puzzle, but caused himself to hurt,
Who broke his own heart and doesn't know how the pieces fit because they've been mixed together.

I'm the guy who won't be able to live if I don't talk to you in the four days I can (You know what I mean)
And... I'm the guy who can't guarantee he'll see you after that...
