Didn't need to call

by lovedxlost   Jun 19, 2007

Everyday she sits,
and wonders if he'll call
He lost her heart and broke it
He won't come again this fall.

She hopes that he is happy,
Amongst many other things,
Sitting, waiting, wishing there
For a call to seal them friends.

She soon hears a sound,
But not that of a phone
The sound of a doorbell
Whoever would have known

She unlocks the door,
And sees him again
He cries three words
And she does the same

Crying on his shoulder,
she tells him all.
He's so glad he came,
Didn't need to call.
