To My Unfortunate Successor part 2

by StolenRose   Jun 20, 2007

I was terrified of what I saw and was to do, and without
explanation
was to be the means of their extermination.
But the time for me to be afraid had long since passed.
and as the unfathomable evils I had to fight amassed,
I was afraid, but now have nothing to fear
and the end I desperately wanted then is now near.

Because I know the truth of what they are.
They will come for me, and that time is not far.
So I tell this to you my successor
you must be strong and twice as clever.
For they will deceive you and play with you mind
believe in what you feel and leave what you see behind.

Don't believe in what you see? You ask.
Yes, this is one of the reasons why this is no simple task.
You can see what they are, but they prey on your fears
you must not give in to them and shed those unreal tears
Your deepest fears they will make come true
and the only one who can save you from them is you

When you see things mortal eyes should never behold
of horrors and torments untold.
There is no turning back or going home
so be prepared for a life all alone.
For once you've seen what I've seen befell
nowhere are you welcomed anymore, except in hell.

So my friend do you read beyond this point?
Or do you run away and another you do appoint?
If you do read on you must always be canny and careful,
if not, then forget this and live life and be cheerful.
For the one still reading
I shall try and give you the information you'll be needing.

Once you see them you will also feel their victims
and that is why I leave you these dictums.
When you feel the pain of a thousand people dying,
knowing that you'll never be able to heed their crying.
Their anguish becoming your own
the only way to stop their voices is to for crimes atone.

Not only yours, but theirs, & redemption is no easy task,
one needs help, but becomes to scared to ask.
Because you soon learn
anyone who helps you is fated to forever burn,
In a hell that's of your own making
their souls become ripe for the taking.
