Three Wishes

If I could have three wishes

I wouldn't wish for gold

I wouldn't wish for things

That could be broken, bought or sold.

I first would wish for courage

To tell you how I feel.

I wouldn't hide a single thing

And you'd know that I'm for real.

My next wish would be guidance

To word things the right way

So you would see so clearly

What I was trying to say.

My third and final wish would be

The easiest to name

I'd wish with everything I had

That you would feel the same.
