It's true this saying i heard once before
that there's things a girl can never forget
things that marked her life forever
and perhaps left her with so much regret
It might have been just a moment
a kiss, a rose...a glance
or maybe something much smaller
perhaps just a word, a minute longer...one chance
These moments that were lost
that disappeared in the blink of an eye
but that forever will be remembered
as she watches time pass by...
Memories tucked away
deep inside her mind
appearing at random moments
making her wish she could press rewind
little glimpses of the past
of how things use to be
memories so long forgotten
but that in her mind, she can again see
there's mistakes here and there
she wishes she wouldn't have done
like falling for that one guy
that one day was just sorta walked away and was gone
she has learned the hard way
that people always leave
shes learnt to listen
but never to believe
to just let go
when there's nothing to hold on to
when even hope is gone
and when there's nothin else she can do
it's true, there's things a girl can never forget
like that love that wasn't meant to be
you see, i should know better
cuz one of those girls....is me.
