Can someone please explain,
why the skies are so blue?
or why today, all i want
is to be with you?
perhaps you could tell me,
why he ruined my life.
or how he ever said,
he wanted me as his wife.
love is not what he felt,
when he was taking what was mine.
it was more like he'd do whatever it took,
to make himself feel fine.
i want to let it go,
i want to be okay.
but the memories I'm left with,
make my skies turn gray.

i hate him, not you.
i hate this feeling, not how you make me feel.
I'm so happy when I'm with you.
you're the only thing real i feel.

your smile, your laugh, your hugs.
the way you aren't scared to hurt me,
though you never really would.
you are love, and for you,
i will do my best to let go of my past.
and be okay, so we can be okay.
