The Boy of My Dreams

I sit there in the hallways, watching him walk by,
he doesn't even look at me, it's like he doesn't care,
He's always on my mind, and i see him everywhere.
Somedays I'll catch his eye, and i just cannot explain,
The feeling i get, when he looks at me, just makes my heart drain.
For i know i can never be with him, and to know this it hurts,
He doesn't feel the same way, and i cannot put to words,
The way he looks, and walks, and smiles, just makes me want to cry,
He has the beauty of an angel, and I wonder why,
What is it that i don't have, that he is looking for?

And then one day it all changed, when i found him waiting outside my classroom.
He looked at me and smiled, a smile of beauty and grace,
My face burned and blushed as i looked into his face.
He said to me, "I was wondering, if you would be so kind,
to listen to what i have to say, let me tell you what's on my mind."
I could not find the words to speak, i sat there feeling dumb.
My legs would not move, my whole body was numb.
And then he continued, "i can't keep you off my mind,"
"It seems you like you cant see me, and prettier eyes i coudn't find"
"I just want you to know, that even if you don't feel the same way,
that all those other girls mean nothing, i would take you any day."
I was speechless, i couldn't find the words to speak,
and as i opened my mouth to talk, he kissed me on the cheek.
And then i realized, that on those days as he walked by in the hall,
He was thinking the exact same thing, as he saw me by the wall,

I'm glad I never gave up, I got through my cries and screams,
ANd now i finally had him, the boy of my dreams.
