Cupid's Obstacles

Cupid's Obstacles

What would my parents think of you?

I think they need to learn how to trust

and know that

our young minds are filled with much more than just lust

Our past histories both reveal heartbreak

Guards up,

Is this risk worth to take?

Wrapped up in your arms tight,

your smile,

your warm words,

the moment just seems so right

But worries fill me with doubt

So great,

so different from most guys

But I'm scared things wouldn't work out

How can things go wrong,

with a love like this?

During times of skepticism,

you help make me strong

People say life's too short,

take your chances,

Life goes too fast

This is already so deep,

Emotions are vast

I guess,if something happens,

we can't say we didn't try

Maybe we should go for it,

not let the moment pass by....
