I'll be there

by Maria   Jun 30, 2007

When you are in fear,
just call my name and I'll be there.
When you've forgotten how to feel,
I'll show you that my love is real.
When you've lost all hope,
and there's nothing here for you.
Just call my name, I'll show you
a new path. One that's paved and clean.
When your restless weary eyes,
thought they'd never see the day of light.
I'll pull your curtains with a graceful delight.
I can try to give you the world, if that's your desire.
I can try to take your pain away, put out the harmful fire.
I'll go down a long road, and always end up back at you.
Through rivers of rain, I'm right back where i started again.
You're everything, which isn't the safest thing.
But i can't help when i close my eyes it's your face i see.
I can bring out the best and the worst you can be.
And i can only show you shadows, if that's what you wish
to see.
I won't sweep you away
you're here now, and I'm keeping you here to stay.
It's about that time,
so here's my heart,
do with it what you please.
Just don't try to hand it back to me.
I told it was yours to keep a long time ago.
It's time now to let love in and show.

    Good poem
The rhythm is hard to follow because of the variety on how long each verse is... But I never saw how this was a rekindeled love poem over jut a normal love poem...
    good poem, i'd give it a 4/5
