Winter Mornings

I'm missing winter mornings
We shared so many happy endings
Winter began, snow filled
We take over, it was more than real
Cold, it shivered down my spine
You hold me close, safe and tight
Underneathe the breathless tree, the leaves began to fall
Dancing circles around you, I didn't want to end it all
The warmness took over, I knew you were the one for me
Again, you hold me close, I knew I couldn't set you free
As the outside shared no color
The beauty brought us farther
You're not alone, we're not distant
Shadows of winter mornings was what I needed
You whispered safely underneathe my skin
I felt your heartbeat deep within
Snowflakes was in the air, we were holding on to the memories last night
As we close our eyes, we kissed one last time
You began to fade, I began to lose touch
Your warmness hugs I miss so much
Was this surreal, did I imagine?
How his existence didn't happen
I bare the pain and yet the scars remained
I missed you most on winter mornings
