Secret love

Good morning mom
Good morning dad
This happy little girl, she never seems sad
"breakfast is ready" she hears mom call
she dreads those words, she doesn't want to eat at all
she lifts up her fork then takes a bite
now she wont be able to eat tonight
she rushes up stairs
washes her face, and brushes her hair
looks in the mirror
and cant help but stare
her face is so pail, and her eyes so wide
nobody notices her, whats the point of going outside
her hair is all flat, dull with split ends
she doesn't go no where, she doesn't have many friends
she wears long sleeve shirts
to cover her arms
if her parents saw the scars, they'd save her from harm
she puts on some jewelry
and ties her hair back
her mother doesn't see nothing wrong with her looking like that
she holds back her tears as she steps out the door
and thinks to herself
"nobody will even notice if I'm not around anymore"
her teacher calls home
and tells her mother he little girls not in class
her fathers home from work early
ready to whip the little girls hands
a search is out, for their precious one
and the lead to her, was a simple hand gun
left with a note
to her parents and "friends"
telling everyone why her life must end
it wasn't that she wasn't love a whole bunch
her family loved her more then anyone could
it wasn't that she had no friends and such
she could do without friends, they knew that much
it was because of a boy, he had broken her heart
he didn't know it, she never told him from the start
it was a secret love, only she knew about
but to see him with someone else, put her heart in doubt
the parents are sad, and the helpless boys feeling down too
pressure building up on him, he didn't give her the time of day
he never even noticed her, she wasn't special in any way
she wasn't pretty or popular, or well dressed or smart
but what he didn't know
she had one hell of a heart
