This Is It

The day I met you
I saw something I've never seen
I saw strange shine
And quickly wonered where you had been

For years I searched for someone like you
Looked high and low
And to my surprise
You finally show

I dream my days and nights
Of nothing but the details of your face
Your rainbow colored eyes
And your calculated life pace

You want me to feel what you feel
And see what you see
What amazes me the most
Is the one you share this with, is me

The last vision I see
When I lay my head to sleep
Is your smiling face

My shinging star
And I know our love will always last
No matter how far

I write a lot of things
You've read just about all of them
But if I wrote this poem again
In ten years the words would still be the same
