I just wish you would have told me,

Instead of leading me on,

Had me thinkin I had it all,

When I was really let down.

Have me asking so many questions,

Like, How did I become so gullible to your lies?

Why was I to blind to see the bullshit between the lines.

Said you cared along time ago,

I guess I just got boring and old,

So instead of just telling me how it was,

You played a game out of the heart I gave to you.

I miss the one who use to show me he really cared,

Maybe it was just all a big dream,

because that person is no longer around.

You stomped and bruised my heart,

Tore it to pieces,

and laughed as it fell apart,

You threw it back in my face.

Then you set out in search of another,

While I just sat at home and wondered,

but now that you're gone,

I'm still here,

Guarding what I hold most dear.
