Disarray

by Matt   Jul 15, 2007

In moments of disarray, I'm found
Sitting in the corner watching it all unfold
Pushing the energy from myself
Into the open spaces of your mind
When you're confused and distraught
Don't worry, I've already parlayed my winnings
Even if you lose it all, you'll win back double
From the scattered circumstances
That allow you to express it exactly
Saying nothing and everything all at once
Your eyes whisper what you want
And your smile blocks out the view
We've become so alone in this chaos
While it spins around and crashes into itself
The ataxia is spreading within us
Originating from the lips and hands
We'll soon collapse and become part of this
A mess we couldn't prevent
And a choice we couldn't refuse
When it's all said and done
No matter the outcome, you should know
The experience is always worth having
Because we find our harmony
When we take both our lives
And mingle the cacophonies as one
To be completely lost in the moment
And free to be illogical.
