The Backseat (Internet Romance)

by MysticalBeth   Jul 20, 2007

It was the backseat of your car
We hadn't driven very far
Touching, feeling, our love so true
Wait a minute now, who are you?

I've known you for some time
By instant messaging online
Can't believe you're not the same
Not even sure of your name
Did you say you're five foot ten?
Were you wearing high heels then?
Not like that matters; looks are only a plus
Personality counts for oh so much
We stay up nights, talking for hours
I'm sure there's never been a love like ours

Now we finally decide to meet
You say I'm in for a special treat
So we're in the backseat of your car
We hadn't driven very far
So soon you decided to stop
Told me that I'd like it a lot
Touching, feeling, our love so true
Wait a minute now, I don't even know you!

I'm not gonna fight you off
But I think now you better stop
Slow down, take our time
If our love's so great, it'll grow offline
Take me home now, this night's through
We'll chat more later, I still love you!
Next time we'll have a dinner for two
A movie, the park, or something new

The backseat of your car
Doesn't get us very far
I only want someone to love
Maybe we should start with a hug?
