They Seem So Much Like Reality

We were at this club
Just fooling around
When my friend started to tell me something
I dropped to the ground

It was a dance I was doing
And she knew I was ignoring her
She was trying to tell me about him
But I didn't want her to go any further

She caught me and told me stop
And then gave me a cup
She started to tell me he fell in love
And I screamed "Hey Mister DJ, turn it up!"

Then I walked away
She finally got to me
She said "If you would just listen to me,"
"This news might make you happy."

So then I said "What do you wanna tell me?"
"And is this really true?"
She took a deep breath and said
"The one he loves is you."

A smile came upon my face
And I couldn't speak
When I saw him smile at me
I got really weak

I went up to him
And asked whats up
And he just smiled and said
"Oh, nothing much"

And if felt as if we got closer
And I could feel my heart beat get fast
Then I opened my eyes
Dang, I wanted it to last!

I told my friend
About what happened to me
And she said
"Yeah, dreams seem so much like reality"
