Little sister

by Marjorie Tan   Aug 1, 2007

When he passes by
I know what he is going to say..
" how's my baby? are you doing okay?"

He pinches my cheeks
to red , then he waves goodbye..
I sigh repeating what he just said,
hoping he'd again stop by

People ask him,
"ARE YOU RELATED TO THAT GIRL?"
"NO, BUT I TREAT HER LIKE MY SISTER"

I must admit
I'd want to change my label if I could
Somehow alter it to something sweeter
like honey, darling, sweetheart, or boo]

My friends say
" he's a 4th r. student
Why on earth would he love you that way?"
"Well there's nothing wrong with dreaming ..
I won't lose anything anyway"

Sweet little thoughts of him
brightens my day
Although I'm like his little sister
It's really okay

As long as he pinches my cheeks
and waves goodbye,
I know someday he will stay for awhile.
