A Dreamer's Love

by Natashia   Apr 27, 2004

When I first saw your face
My heart started beating at a different pace
I couldn't breath
I couldn't blink
I couldn't even think
I thought I'd just seen an angel
Then I looked from a different angle
No one ever believes in love at first sight
Until their heart is taken into flight
Stomach full of butterflies
Body given a sudden high
I look into those eyes and see
My life is nothing compared to thee
Your eyes so beautiful, deep, and shining
Makes me forget all the whining and dining
Money, flowers, clothes, and jewelry
Now those things mean nothing to me
Your face so handsome, sweet, and true
For some reason I can't take my eyes off of you
Love is something I don't understand
Until we walk and I hold your hand
A simple touch makes me shiver
The loss of your touch makes me bitter
I can't comprehend a day without you
Even though it's the first day I've met you
I wish we could stay together forever
The mere sight of you makes my heart tether
I've seen just about a hundred faces
But when I look at you my heart races
You walk me home and I can see
That I can't see you without me
I close my eyes and go sleep
And I count my one hundred and fifty sheep
As I dream my heart teems
And when I wake up I realize it was all just a dream
