Though

by Beautifully Disfigured   Aug 7, 2007

Though he's far away he's very near
though he's being pushed to the max he's laying right here
though a tear may slide down his cheek he's no lesser of a man, he's a human being
though he runs through rain and sleet he goes without seeing
for in his mind is one of a kind
the only thing he sees is his beautiful wife

though the guns are blasting he hears no sound
though she's far away he feels her heart pound
though the angels aren't with him tonight
they are with her as she fights
a beautiful child being born into this world
no father to bear witness to this one accord

though she's cries alone in her bed
though she puts the gun slowly to her head
though she can't take no more of this pain
though she knows her death will be in vain
he's on a flight home for the very first time
though he walks in the door, his screams silent like a mime

now it was just two seconds soon
the two are lying under the moon
tears slide down his cheek as he thinks about her
his eyes, full of tears, begin to blur
he holds her in his arms, lucky that god sent him home
before she could pull the trigger and lay on a bed of foam
