Blinding Love

by Lore   Aug 13, 2007

How can love be so blind?
Blind to the masses of pain it causes?
Blind to those who desperately need it?
To those who it breaks again and again?
How can love be so wondrous?
It breaks the strongest person down
Causes tears, fears, paranoia and guilt
Gives doubts but binds so tightly
Strangles the person til the no longer have a will
Til they can no longer fight back
Chains then with unbreakable steel
Then convinces them it is all they want
Convinces them that it is wondrous and freeing
Blinding then with roses and chocolate
Tricking them with false security
Then ripping it all away; leaving you
Leaving everyone so broken, so shattered
Leaving all fearing what they desired
