Feel My Pain

by Christina   Aug 15, 2007

I find myself walking along the edge,
the cold air rushing past my face.
Down below, I can hear the roaring of
the water rushing underneath me.
It starts to bring back the memories,
the memories of him.
The rush I got from hearing him talk,
from when he whispered my name.
With one single look, he made my body melt.
He had my soul, he had my heart.
He was my keeper, but he tore me apart.

My foot slips, I hear the rock's
splash into the river below.
I wake from my dream.
Finding myself all alone,
and still in my pain.

I look up at the night sky.
The moon is so full.
I look at the star's... there is billions and billions
of stars in the night sky.
I wonder, can they feel my pain?
I want to be one of those stars, I want to fall.
Fall forever and let the river below catch my body,
and take me away from this pain.

The wind starts to blow louder,
screaming through the trees.
Whispering to me all of it's sad sorrow's,
Telling me about all of the silent cries from all of the broken heart's,
All of those star's.
All the one's who are trapped in their pain,
I'm not the only one that wants to fall.

A light shines from the trees.
I hear the crackle of a foot stepping on wood.
Turning around, I'm still on the edge.
It's him!! He's here...
I look into his face, I can see his pain.
But it's too late, I'm too close to the edge,
too far to come back.
