Don't want either of you

by Lenny   Aug 16, 2007

I bloody well dont want either of you,
You with your reticence,
And YOU with your perfect conversation
That captivates my hungry mind.

I dont want you,
You with your trouble melting,
Your welcoming arms, and perfect kiss,
Or YOU, you with your uncomfortable presence,
Awkward incidence.

I dont want the way you have my heart,
But never mistreat it, caress it, but leave it alone sometimes,
Leave it tethered to the fence,
And I dont like the way YOU come to toy with it,
Forever in it, and dont you know it.

I dont like the way you feel how you do,
But cant express it to me,
But then again I dont like the way YOU tell me how you feel
In a way that shouldnt, but does, make my heart flutter.

I dont want your plan-less future,
The one you carefully edit me out of,
But I dont want the one WE planned together
Stormy night, so long ago.

I dont want the compliments you give me,
Those that have no meaning anymore,
And I especially loathe the few that YOU deliver,
Send tingles up my spine.

I dont want the missing,
The longing and remembering of the moments Ive shared with you,
But I dont want the person I want to talk to,
About my everything to be YOU.

I hate that you are so perfect in everyones eyes but your own,
That you dont realize your self worth,
And that YOU do.
To the point of too much.

I dont like the way either of you treat and taunt my mind,
Dont want my heart to be messed with,
To mess with yours,
I bloody well dont want either of you. . .
. . .I want you both.
