DAD

by Sarah Badr and Ganima Elghourani   Aug 17, 2007

From the day i was born, the day i opened my eyes
You were already gone, you had already said your goodbyes.
How could you bring an innocent child into this world
How could you miss the moment when the nurse said it was a girl.
You fathered me, but you knew nothing about fatherhood
You just wanted to have me to say that you could
I needed you in my life, i needed you by my side
I needed daddy to be there to be my role model when i was a child
Now I'm older and I'm no longer blinded by your lies
Its time you learn that I too can say my goodbyes.
