Tears of Eternal Love

by Donovan Allgood   Aug 26, 2007

With falling tears of suicide,
She screams out "Save Me...",
and as he dives to catch her,
the tears let her slip away.
The love they once shared crashed to the floor,
but she was there to catch the pieces.
Like the piercing pain of pestilence,
the shattered shards cut her suffering.
"I Love You" he said,
to ears that hear no more.
A kiss he gave to lips
that abandoned passion.
He attended the corpse better than a morgue
while telling her everything,
forgetting to pronounce the words.
But the silence stirred a feeling,
a feeling inside this lifeless being.
And the same poison that let her slip,
remedied the perished soul,
giving life to the dead,
and feeling to the numb.
He held her tightly,
never showing signs of ever letting go,
when he heard a faint whisper,
"I Love You Too"...

These were the lyrics to one of my band's songs. I wrote them myself despite being the drummer, but its one of our fans favorites!
