My Crusade

by Beautiful Chaos   Aug 26, 2007

Love has killed me
And revived me
It toys with me

I am sure it will be the death of me
But I welcome it
To feel love crushing my heart

Consuming me one last time
I shall die with love on my lips
Never will it taste so sweet

Bitterness would be never feeling it again
A great loss indeed
One I am not willing to make

When I close my eyes to embrace destiny
I want to say
I fought for love

Passionate
Selfish
Fiery
Insane
Egotistical love

The bane of all existence
Not hate
But love

What is hate but love
Fiery, passionate, protective
Love

Freely given
Misunderstood
Complicated love
Such madness from a simple word

Wow, wow and just wow! This is so breathtaking!
The title is captivating and you developed whole poem excellently, with great wording. The topic is also amazing, I can completely relate to this piece. Whole poem is so creative, and the most important thing, this is one of the most unique love poems that I've read in a while, and I value uniqueness the most in poetry. I already wrote in one comment that you have great talent for writing love poems, you can write something completely original and different from usual typical love poetry.
    This piece is simply brilliant.
    It is so effective!
5/5 from me, but you deserve much more for this one.
