Jacob never imprinted on Bella.
He loved her, and couldn't bear to leave her, cos he was destined for Bella's daughter, Renesmee.
The love shared by himself and Bella, was a very strong friendship, not imprinting...

I know, it was written before Breaking Dawn came out
