Escaping Within

I carry secrets so dark,
hidden deep inside.
I've burdened myself,
with no where to hide.

I wouldn't dare tell a soul,
about the things I've done.
I couldn't begin to explain,
how I found it fun.

I swear I didn't know,
the effects it would cause.
If only I gave a thought,
to the moment I paused.

Now today I live in grief,
absolute sorrow.
Trying to escape within,
hoping for no tomorrow.

    Ah yes, those secrets, they can be a hassle to the mind.... you must release them so you can see a better tomorrow.... let it all out metaphorically within your words.... a very heartfelt and deep write.
