Fallen has the angel,
No longer wanted,
Angered and tearful,
Fallen has the angel

Rejected is the angel,
With feathers plucked,
one by one,
Rejected is the angel

Trapped is the angel,
No where to hide,
No where to run,
Trapped is the angel

Fear has the angel,
Stuck in tar-like hands,
Unable to fly; unable to cry out,
Fear has the angel

Hurt is the angel,
Emotionally and physically,
Unable to heal both ways,
Hurt is the angel

Tortured is the angel,
By God, by life, by death,
Failing to escape,
Tortured is the angel

Escaped has the angel,
Though not for long,
Soon dragged in again,
Escaped has the angel,

Angered is the angel,
Shouting to the above,
"It was just one mistake!",
Angered is the angel

Defeated is the angel,
No longer moving,
No longer breathing,
Defeated is the angel

Fallen has the angel,
Missed by no one,
Shattered and broken,
Fallen has the angel

    I love that the first and last line, of each stanza is the same. I also love that the first and last line, in the first stanza is identical to the last stanza.
