Ace of Heart

by selene   Sep 5, 2007

I barely feel the love I once felt
In fact, I cannot feel it at all
Considering folding the cards dealt
But instead, I choose to call

Been in the game for far too long
To let die what we have made
Nothing livens me, not our song
I, the joker, you my Ace of spade

Pricking the crown atop my head
Though my heart moves alone
Stacking cards made of lead
Dealing in, stone by little stone

Guilt unveils my stern poker face
Because while you are winning
My Ace of Heart is without trace
The top I once controlled...
Won't stop from spinning
