All I see

by xxSilentlyScreamingxx   Sep 5, 2007

Crimson tears fall from my eyes,
The tide it bursts forth.
Unstoppable, a torrent gushing out of me
Until there is no more to come.
I can feel it flowing,
Red pouring away from me,
Drawing away my life, my heart,
My very soul.
Feel the last vestiges of consciousness depart,
The last particles of my humanness withdraw,
And all I can see is red.
Crimson red, brick red, blood red,
The red of my life fades as the flow slows
Down to a trickle, then to nothing.
Crimson fades, red disappears,
Black joins me now.
Black heart, black soul,
Drawing me inexorably closer to the void
That will be my death.
And as the black envelopes me
To take me away for good,
My last crimson though on Earth is this:
'What have I become?'
