Sorry

by Danielle Boyd   Sep 6, 2007

A broken halo, a fallen tear
The words I said
Were spoken from hurt and fear.

I didn't mean them
That, you have to believe
It's just I had this feeling.

I could see you walk out the door
Leaving me to my lonesome,
And you'd be with me no more.

I know "sorry" just cuts to the chase,
And "I need you" says not much more
But why speak the emotion on my face.

I'm broken just a little girl
But without you by my side,
Around my knees, crumbles my world

So fix my halo and dry my tears
And I'll take back my hurtful words,
Cause if only words could kill.

You'd spread your wings like a snow white dove
And away you'd fly with my heart,
The man I hurt, the only one I could ever love.

Forgive me
I'm sorry
Forgive me.
