End of Everything

by Tom Martin   Sep 9, 2007

Death is in the air...
I can feel it on my lips,
Slowly eroding the earth we walk upon
Seeding deep it's roots of misconception
Tearing at our freedom
Wrapping chain around our thoughts
Torturing our poor withered souls...
Eating at everything...
Making friends into enemies...
House fighting against house
Mother turning from their sons and daughters
Father turning from his family...

Death is in the water...
I can see it slip through us,
Liquid poison we readily accept
From the day we are brought into this world
Until the day we die...
Slowly we wear thin...
Food and water both poisoned and in demand
Resorting to violence and corruption
Just to get what we want...

Time is running out...
The fountain of knowledge is gone,
We revert to barbaric acts
Risking trust with nobody
Making war with the races of the earth
Killing each other
Without any notion of it being wrong anymore..

It is my time...
I must go now..
My time upon this earth has not passed
I shall die either way,

I am no longer needed...
I am no longer
Needed...
