These are the tears that I cry
They are full of pain and sorrow
Love and death
I welcome these droplets of memory
As they make their way down my cheek
Only to be wiped away by a hand
A hand that understands my anguish
The touch so gentle
It speaks a thousand unspoken words
Instills a calm only the gods could know
And as I look up
Her gaze meets mine
Her hand holding my cheek ever so softly
I cry anew
Not for myself
These are the tears that I cry
They are full of her torment and love
Longing and lonliness
I welcome these scars as my own
And I hold them close as I do her
Not to mend the scars for those are done
But for the for the comfort of the other
The undying fire intertwined in us
Her care and compassion
Keeps me alive
Drives me forward and gives me purpose
Her gaze holds me
And as we move closer
My mind calms and I start to smile
But with an imperceptable look
My smile fades away
As she kisses me
The world fades away into nothing
Time becomes meaningless
Nothing exists but us
In that forever of a moment
I can no longer deny
She is my love
She makes me whole
