Why twilight is the saddest

by Eyildr   Sep 13, 2007

Why twilight is the saddest, I will never know,
Crimson light, weak sun glows.
Eternal tears shaded on autumn leafs,
Rust pattern, beauty grows.

Unknown wishes dancing in the golden beam
To catch them, I was never that keen
For I knew desolation is everywhere
Every step and breath I take, always in the air.

I had a secret with the sky,
To hold it safe, until I would say good bye.
Melancholic wind, sparkling rain,
Betrayed I was, dwelt in my pain.

Eternal path, autumn scent,
Of withered flowers and whispers made.
Of regrets and defiant smiles,
Remembered wishes, always a bless.

Carried burdens until a grave,
Flames thrown into a scarlet wave.
Decadence of the sun, wind blows,
Why twilight is the saddest, I will never know.
