Shore Line

by Jasmine   Sep 16, 2007

You saved me from my darkness,
And my deepest fears,
You gave me back my life again,
And helped me end a love,
That was doomed from the start,
But then you managed to capture my heart.
So I turned away and pushed you afar,
I was too scared to let you in.

So I sit here on the shore line,
And I think of you,
You seem to be so far away.

How can I go home when there’s a chance I could see,
Your faced shadowed with misery,
This holiday – a chance for remedy,
Has turned into my last mistake.

So now I sit here on the shore line,
And I think of you,
How could even try to let you go?

If I walked into the sea,
Would you manage to forget me?
Or am I already just a memory,
Just a girl that led you astray.

So now I stand here on the shore line,
And I think of you,
As my toes touch the waves,
And I walk into the darkness,
With the stars shining above,
They are the only witness,
To a lonely end.
