I saw you last night
As my eyes hungered for you
These tears began to fill my eyes
these tears that i knew

i thought my heart was through
i thought i was done
with wanting you
all i wanted to do was run

i needed to get away
have you disappear from my sight
i began to shake
as my skin began to turn white

why is it
that you still hold my heart
why do i cry at your sight
when did this dispare start

you began to push my buttons
like you did so many times before
as this hatred for you grew
i just slammed the door

but you held me tight
in your arms last night
as if you were apologizing
trying to make things right

you knew how much i yearned for you
you knew how much i cared
and even your love
you had shared
