The ragdoll

by Brookie   Sep 18, 2007

I found this little rag doll
In the park one day
She seemed like someone
Had cast her so carelessly away

I picked her up and saw a faint smile
That stuck out throught the dirt
I picked her up and gave a hug
And saw her heart so hurt

This little rag doll was someone
Who very much was in need of love
Her sewed on heart had faded away and
I was someone who wouldnt give her the shove

I took her home and gave her a wash
Sewed on some new clothes
And a new heart

I gave her some attention
And tender loving care
She grew to be beautiful
Even through her despair

Then one day she looked at me
She gave me a smile
Of happiness and love
of something not tossed into a pile

If you looked at this pretty little rag doll
You wouldnt even realize
That she was once
Just as alone and lost as me
